Experience the Beauty

Liana has been a professional photographer for over 16 years and is blessed to have spent a majority of her career photographing weddings, events, and families across the US and abroad.

She believes that "everyone has a story to share and a beauty to unveil."

In the past few years, Liana has limited the number of photography commissions she accepts as she helps her husband grown their American-made goods company, Maycomb Mercantile and ALSO as they grow their family! They have three kids "3 and under" who keep them on their toes and provide endless cuddles, entertainment, and laughs. One day soon they'll all hit the road on a grand "field trip" across America in a Vintage Airstream Argosy they are currently renovating into a mobile shop and studio.

In her "spare time" she's usually experimenting in the kitchen, nursing a baby while binge-watching a show on Netflix, creating new cheesy-80s-dance moves, traveling to far-off places, entertaining friends and family, and scratching off another item from her endless to-do-around-the-house-list.

Liana has been teaching and speaking in the photography industry for the past 10 years and in the past 5 years has branched out to help ALL creative entrepreneurs learn "the not-fun-stuff about running a small business." She has a certification in Commercial Photography Technology and a degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship Small Business Management.  It's one of her true callings in life to help others achieve their own dreams through building strong visionary and financial foundations for their life and business.  She taught over 30 Business Boot Camps from 2007-2010 in the US and Australia and more recently has focused on private group classes and one-on-one mentoring.

Liana is proud to be a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) of which less than 8% of all professional photographers qualify for. She is a seven-time award-winning photographer for the Wedding Photojournalist Association and is featured in Professional Photographer and American Photo Magazines, The KNOT, Style Me Pretty, Modern Wedding Photography Book by Amherst Media, and on NBC.

You can find more of her day-to-day on her longtime (yet recently neglected) blog, Liana's Bananas, and also on Facebook and Instagram
